Out of Blue is a creative lab that maximizes the power of art and design with research to give you unexpected views. Founded by Midori Yamazaki, the lab excels in communication design, branding, and experimental artwork. By merging academic rigor with creative intuition, Out of Blue distinguishes itself through a unique methodology drawn from a wide range of experiences and skill sets. Representative Midori Yamazaki is a Creative Director, Artist, and Researcher. She holds an MA with Distinction from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and worked at DLX Design Lab, the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. With a distinguished career leading projects for global brands such as adidas, Nike, Meta (Facebook), and Condé Nast, her work has been recognized by prestigious institutions including the NY ADC, the Japan ADC, Tokyo Type Directors Club, IEEE Art Program, SIGGRAPH, and the A' Design Award.
