Yalin Wang is an artist and researcher whose work investigates the intersection of cultural heritage, embodied interaction, and generative artificial intelligence. As a doctoral candidate at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, her research confronts the challenge of 'broken cultural lineages'—where historical kinesthetic knowledge is lost over time. Her primary project, 'Algorithmic Flesh,' is an interactive installation that allows participants to use their own movements as 'somatic prompts' to guide an AI in a co-interpretive ritual with the ancient Dunhuang Apsara murals. This methodology shifts the paradigm of digital heritage from static preservation to living, participatory experience. By training AI directly on historical source material, her work functions as a form of 'digital movement archaeology,' creating new pathways for intergenerational cultural transmission and personal meaning-making.
